Tennis

I know this is off topic, but I just had to tell you. I MADE MY SCHOOL'S TENNIS TEAM! I'm so proud of myself and so excited for our first game on thursday. I practiced so much and it's all paid off. It's tiring but worth it. Our first game is the first day of school so we need as many practices in as we can get. We've been doing early morning practices which is good because it's getting really hot during the day. I just wanted to let you know because I'm really excited! :D

Manage That Curly Hair

Curly hair can be hard to manage sometimes. It gets frizzy, knotted  and just plain hard to manage. Here are some tips to help control your curly hair.
Curly hair is more porous than straight and wavy hair, so it absorbs hair product easier and can get really dirty if not washed properly

Tip 1: Find your hair type. There are different types of curly hair, and figuring out which type you have can be difficult, especially because a lot of people with curly hair have mixed types. For example, using the Curly Girl system, my hair on top is 3a and underneath is 3b. To find your hair type click here => http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types
Tip 2: Don't wash your hair everyday. Washing your hair everyday strips your hair from it's natural oils essential to keeping curly hair managable. If you do wash your hair everyday and are afraid that if you change our routine your hair will be too oily, don't be. Try washing your hair every-other-day. Your scalp will get used to not being washed so often and produce less oils, but still enough. Wash your hair at least twice a week, and the other times do a "Co-Wash" Washing your hair with shampoo actually can make it more dirty because the shampoo leaves a residue in your hair. To learn more about how to do a "Co-Wash" click here =>  http://www.naturallycurly.com/
Tip 3: Don't comb curly hair when it is dry. This loosens curls and creates frizz and poofs instead of beautiful, soft looking curls. Use a wide-toothed comb when combing curly hair and only when wet, then let hair air dry.
Tip 4: If you wash your hair at night before you go to sleep braid it. Dry your hair either with a diffuser or a towel. If you use a towel, don't rub just pat and lightly squeez the moisture out. Only dry it until it is damp, not fully dry. Once damp, french braid your hair in a loose braid.           Tip 5: Many websites and magazines tell you not to use shampoos with silicones in them because they damage your hair. This however is untrue. Silicones can damage you hair, but the way people think. Silicones are in shampoos because they help condition your hair. Without silicones, your hair will get very dry and start to fall out and break over time. Silicones do not damage your hair as quickly. It can take many years for the effects of silicones to show, and even then it is most likely the affects of other products, not the silicones.

Now remember, you do not have to follow my tips, but they are however good tips to follow.

Writing A Song

Writing a song can be difficult without inspiration. I like to write music to let out my feelings, like a diary. My music comes from my heart and experiences throughout life. Write what you know. Write about you see, what you hear, where you are, and who you're with. Start off with poems, then put a tune and rhythm to it. It makes it easier. Your songs don't have to necessarily rhyme, they just have to have a consistent theme. I hope this helps.

What's Your Color?

These are some facts to help you find out what colors look best on you! I'm going to be using the seasons, winter, summer, autumn, and spring.
Winter complexions have blue or pink undertones. Skin can be pale white, yellowish-olive, or dark.

Winter people are generally brunettes, with deeply colored eyes. Many Asians and African Americans fall into this category. Winters should wear colors that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink all go well with winter complexions. For lighter colors, wear icy tones rather than pastels.
Summer complexions, like winter complexions, have blue or pink undertones. Skin is pale and pink.
Summers are often natural blondes or brunettes with pale eyes.Summers should choose pastels and soft
neutrals with rose and blue undertones. Lavender, plum, rose-brown and soft blue suit summers well while
black and orange do not.
Autumn complexions have golden undertones. Many redheads and brunettes with golden brown eyes
fall into this category. Autumns should select colors with golden undertones, like camel, beige, orange, gold
and dark brown. Avoid colors with blue tones, like navy.
Spring complexions have golden undertones and are usually creamy white or peach.
Spring people generally have straw-colored or strawberry red hair, freckles, rosy cheeks, and blue or green eyes. Springs can wear warm colors like camel, peach, golden yellow and golden brown. Avoid dark, dull colors.
You don't have to follow these colors, these are just some tips on colors that really work well with certain skin tones. Good luck on finding your color

What I'm All About

I really love to give people advice on music, cosmetics, fashion, and anything else they need help with. I tried to set up various websites, but I was not as consistent with them. I know, I know, i should delete them. Only I totally forgot what they're named. I'm more organized now and I can remember to do things, so this will be a good start for me. I started singing when I was about....born! I love music, it's my life. I tried piano when I was little, but it never stuck, but I still retain the knowledge I learned. I moved on to guitar about a year ago, but haven't been able to get classes for myself, so I don't know much yet but I'm trying. I perform in musicals and open mics, and at Christmas for my family. I love music and it will be in my life forever. When I got into the 7th grade, I discovered makeup.
I love to play around with different looks and skincare regimens. It's fun for me to try a new look. I also love my hair. If my hair is messed up I freak out because my hair says everything about me! I love trying new hair styles and figuring out what looks best on me. I loved makeup, and still do. I always cared what I looked like and what I wore, but I really began to LOVE shopping when I got into middle school. My favorite stores are Forever 21, Macy's, and Target. My style is really eclectic. I just wear whatever looks best and I personally think I can pull off a lot of styles.
I always answer questions on yahoo answers, and my friends always ask me questions about what to wear, or what colors look best, or what makeup they should wear, or how they should do their hair. And I honestly love to answer their questions!
So there it is. A little bit of background of what I'm all about and what I love to do.
